Local Elementary Schools
The Rancho del Oro area is fortunate to have not only some of the nicest homes in Oceanside,
but also some really great schools. These are neighborhood schools that have active support
from the local parents and have strong Parent/Teacher Associations.
The children in the Villages of Rancho del Oro attend one of four elementary schools,
two in the Oceanside school district (Nichols, Ivey Ranch), and two in the
Vista School District (Alamosa Park, Empressa). In addition, there are two other elementary schools, one in OSUD (Del Rio) and one in VSUD (Temple Heights)
each district, that surrounding areas on our map attend. Click here to see homes for sale by school district!
The 2004 Academic Performance Index scores for the schools in the are as follows (from highest to lowest):
838 Empressa 816 Ivey Ranch 798 Alamosa Park 766 Nichols 727 Del Rio 720 Temple Heights |
You can see the scores for all the schools in San Diego at the California Dept. of Education web site.
